31/07, 11:36pm - Another good day.  Someone walked 40 feet today and wants to go home!

7/30/07, 9:51pm - Rick had a much better day today. The effect of the pain killer reaction seems to have passed. His care team was in to see him today and gave him high marks. In fact, they said if he walks 50’ they will talk about sending him home. If he does not, he will be transferred to a rehab facility. That was all the prompting he needed to get out of bed. He said maybe he will walk down for his sonogram tomorrow – then broke out in a grin and said maybe not! For those who tried to call him today, don’t take it personally --

7/15/07, 7:35pm - Rick had another good day today.  The doctors must be getting tired of having him around becuase they spoke with Rick and Liz today about sending Rick home to wait for a call to come running for a transplant.  Its not certaian, but lets all be hopeful with Rick and Liz. If you were planning to visit tomorrow, please call first.

7/14/07, 4:41pm - Rick felt better today. He was getting a psych consult when we arrived -- go figure!  It is required to be put on the transplant list and apparently he passed because they left him on a floor without locks.  He is hopeful that they will let him go home to continue his wait but the doctors won't decide that for a little while until all his testing is done and he is more stabile.  If you have not visited yet, please do and consider valet parking right at the front door to the hospital -- its very convenient.

7/13/07, 8:23pm - Rick got settled in to UMD today and met Team Alpha - the group who is in charge of his care.  He had dialysis tihs afternoon and was tired.  He said stay home tonight and let me sleep!  He is looking forward to visitors tomorrow.

7/13/07, 7:20am - Rick arrived at UMD at 10pm last night.  His room was changed.  He's in 11 East, Room 13, Bed 1.  Liz thinks his phone number is 410.328.4603.  She is on her way there and will confrim his setup soon.  Driving directions can be found on the CONTACT RICK! page.

7/12/07, 7:30pm - Rick is being moved to University of Maryland Hopsital tonight around 7pm.  The nurses at St Joe have finally had enough of him chasing them in the hallways!  Check back for later tonight for his new room number and phone.  When we spoke tonight he was in good spirits but tired and really appreciative for all his friends.
